It is with a heavy heart to have to say that the Sonic Pirate has gone silent.

On 31 January…Live365 pulled the plug and ceased operations leaving thousands of webcasters and their listeners wondering what their next move would be. We had a good 10-year run on Live365 and we appreciate all of our listeners and the indie artists that requested airplay on our small station.

We are still searching for a viable option to move the Sonic Pirate to, so come back to this blog for future posts as to the state of the station.

NEWS FLASH

I have done a horrible job keeping this blog up-to-date as a matter of fact I have done a horrible job keeping the music rotation fresh like I promised.

A lot of it has to do with my health, I developed these debilitating stabbing pains in my head, went to several specialist and all of the doctor’s believe that I am suffering from Chronic Migraine/Ice Pick Headaches. Mine are constant and they have been going on for over two years with no relief. So my attention to the Sonic Pirate has been pulled away more and more, while I try one treatment after another with no results…so far.

This 4^th of July weekend I had the opportunity to tune in and listen to the station for the first time in a long time and I have to say I still enjoy hearing the sound of the Pirate. I want to get back to programming this station but first I need to get healthy again.

If you are a long time listener thanks for hanging in there and I hope you continue to do so, if you are new to the pirate thanks tuning in and listening to us…hope you stick around for years to come.
